Music line up for the TOO COOL FOR SCHOOL MUSIC COFFEE HOUSE

TAB members- Johanna, Aaron, Brandon, Breanna, Ryan, Faith and Sarah are ready to host the "Too Cool for School-so we're jammin' at the library" music coffee house THIS Saturday night from 6-9!



The library doors will open at 6 pm on Saturday, Oct. 25th!

The first performer is the band "2nd Chance" then Carlos Wolle, followed by the band "Feedback Frenzy" will begin @ 8 pm."

The new furniture has arrived!

Thanks to last year's fund raisers Friends of the Library Spelling Bee and the TAB's Library Mini Golf we have new furniture in the YA area. Now comes a new paint color and accessories! Come in and check it out!

Along with high school graduation comes time to leave TAB. Naomi, Matt and Rachel have commited many hours to the library and we are very grateful! We wish them luck as they venture out into the world.

Volunteer Opportunities at the Library


Young Adult Opportunities

Home Bound Delivery
Deliver materials to those who are unable to travel to the library. This might entail selecting materials of interest to the reader and exchanging them for the items that are ready to return.

Gardening Inside & Out
Assist staff in keeping the library plants and grounds maintained by raking, pruning, watering, planting etc.

Satellite Collections
Deliver 30 or so items to our senior living facilities every 6 weeks. This includes selecting materials, and exchanging them for the items that have been there for 6 weeks.

Library Page Summer Reading Program
For kids who will finish 5th grade and up. Beginning in April volunteers are assisting in the preparation of the Summer Reading Program then helping during the summer.

Adopt-a-Shelf
Keep materials in order in the children’s or YA areas. This can be as extensive as you would like. You can oversee a shelf or section on a regular basis.

TAB the Teen Advisory Board
A monthly commitment to serve the library by helping select materials for the YA collection.

Booker Assistant
Bring early literacy experiences to children at day cares and at the
summer Books & Stars by helping with check in/out and shelving.

First Steps Early Literacy Center Volunteers
You can help introduce children to basic concepts they need to be ready to read.
Morning and early evenings.
