Another magnificent Winter Walk and model trains at the library!

TAB members did another AWESOME JOB!

For the Winter Walk the TAB members created a cool gingerbread (like) castle for the Polar Express Train.  For a TAB fundraiser they also sold train cookies & stickers.  The cookies were made and donated by the Sayner family!  THANK YOU!

Wow! Look at all the donations from the Haunted Library for the Northfield Area Food Shelf!

Mark your calendars for a CREEPY LIBRARY ADVENTURE!!!

Friday night, October 30th from 6:30-8 the library will be haunted by the TAB members.  It's for everyone 6th grade and up.  It will be a bit scary!  Admission is a non-parishable food item or $2.00 donation to the Northfield Area Food Shelf.

TAB meeting notes from Feb. 2nd

Members present- Seth, Johanna, Faith, Ryan, Aaron, Ana, Elizabeth and new member Chris Hager!

We mostly talked about mini-golf. We have 4 hole sponsors: Friends of the Library, Northern Gardener, Nfld Entertainment Guide and Tiny's. We traded hole sponsorships for an ad in the Entertainment guide and for Tiny's Hot Dogs. So, so far we have brought in $150. Please try to get some more hole sponsors!
We decided on the hole themes-
1. Friends of the Library- they wanted Booker Faith will be in charge.
2. Nfld Entertainment Guide- they wanted recycling/green ideas. Ana is in charge.
3. no sponsor create a book pile hole?
4. Alice in Wonderland. Johanna is in charge.
5. Northern Gardener- elevator hole no one claimed it yet
6. Tropical theme- we can use stuff the library has- no one claimed it yet
7. Music hole- Elizabeth is in charge, Brandon emailed and he will help with this one.
8. Our model train- Aaron is in charge
9. Tiny's- the pipe down the stairs hole- no one claimed it yet
If we get sponsors we can change/modify the holes.
Please come in any afternoon and start working on you creations! I'm here and can get you started.
We then "weeded" the YA section- removed old, obsolete or worn out books.
We were finished @ 8- THANKS to all who attended!!!

We will be creating a winter wonderland for our Lionell "Polar Express" model train and show it along with all the other model trains at the library during the Winter Walk on Dec. 4th.

We will also be selling cookies to raise money for more programs!

Music line up for the TOO COOL FOR SCHOOL MUSIC COFFEE HOUSE

TAB members- Johanna, Aaron, Brandon, Breanna, Ryan, Faith and Sarah are ready to host the "Too Cool for School-so we're jammin' at the library" music coffee house THIS Saturday night from 6-9!

The library doors will open at 6 pm on Saturday, Oct. 25th!

The first performer is the band "2nd Chance" then Carlos Wolle, followed by the band "Feedback Frenzy" will begin @ 8 pm."

Thanks to last year's fund raisers Friends of the Library Spelling Bee and the TAB's Library Mini Golf we have new furniture in the YA area. Now comes a new paint color and accessories! Come in and check it out!
